Half way through his 42 years in the Rock and Roll business Bob became a Christian, which delighted him but confused the Music Industry!

He worked in the songwriting side of the Record Business, and some of the major clients who he helped to develop were: David Bowie, Supertramp, Dire Straits and The Spice Girls. His speciality was signing unknowns or has-beens; the deals were on better terms and the clients keener to co-operate and more fun to work with.

He has written a book, setting out his experiences on this journey, entitled "SOMETHING INSIDE SO STRONG" which will be published in the Spring. The title reflects both the Music Biz and his relationship with God. The song was written and sung by Labi Siffre, which Bob published and was on his own record label, China records, and which won the UK's most prestigious award, "Best Song Musically and Lyrically" at the Ivor Novello Awards in 1987.
