The Beacon Prayer for Renewal & Revival in our Community, our Nation, our World
Tuesday, 21 February 2012, 07:00 - 08:00

This is a prayer movement for revival and renewal in today’s church and community, local and worldwide, to the end that God’s will may be carried out through our Lord Jesus Christ.

A beacon is a light or fire, a signal.  There is a strong need to pray, seeking to be guided by the Holy Spirit, about major issues facing us today, so that we can know that we as the local and worldwide church stand firm together and are alert to respond to God however is needful.
It is important to pray even if we may never see things happen during our lifetime, or the way that we expect! (see Habakkuk 3:17-19, Romans 4:18-24). We must remember that we are, at very least, building a foundation for the next generation.
Beacons as prayer groups can be started up anywhere; they can fire each other up, and together they can send a strong message.
At present there is one meeting in Weston, Bath, under the auspices of All Saints Weston church, which meets Tuesday mornings - term time only!
