Unchosen's Film Festival - Is It In Your Diary?

"The Police say 35% of men paying for sexual services from women are Christians, a recent Christian report states 50%...I want Christians to engage, even if they think they know about people trafficking. They need to understand its far reaching implications." Unchosen's Trish, tells us why the Film Festival hitting Bath's Forum next month is a must visit!

This shocking statistic is perhaps one reason why we all need to find out more and go to the film festival.
"We need to know the signs and the only way is to find out by attending our campaign and taking home literature. I was shocked recently when I was at a party in Bristol and speaking about human trafficking, to find that people didn't realise it happens in Bristol." she continues.
Three films; 'Ghosts' by renowned documentary film-maker Nick Broomfield (20th October), 'It's A Free World' by Ken Loach (10th November) and 'Understanding Trafficking' (3rd November) by Indian film-maker, Ananya Chaterjee Chakraborti, will be shown at Bath's Forum. Composer, Paul Field's musical 'Cargo' which he created and originally donated to Unchosen for free (27th October) will also be performed.
The film festival is a must - to tackle this awful crime which has insidiously spread into more areas of society, affecting more people in more diverse ways than we may realise, says Trish.
"We have to look at prevention and demand as well as victims otherwise we won't
be making any in-roads we will be merely sticking a plaster on a horrendous crime."
"Forced Labour, Domestic Servitude, Child Begging, Organ Sales as well as Sex Slaves are all under the umbrella of Trafficking, as well as sexual exploitation.
"Child exploitation for example is on the increase which is horrifying and that is in the UK - not some far flung third world country."
Exhibitors will be available at the Forum on film nights from 7pm, including:
