New Bath Charity Appeals For Church Leaders to Help Love Human Slavery Victims Back To Life

TRCBannerRegistered charity, The Trauma Recovery Centre in Bath is appealing for churches to join them in loving victims of human slavery today, back to life.  The charity is calling for representatives from each church in the city to join them for a special presentation evening on this exciting new project!

The Trauma Recovery Centre writes:

'As a nation there is more media attention than ever bringing us the information that there are now 27 million slaves here in our world today....

Churches are beginning to rise up to be a voice for those who have no voice and fight for justice and freedom for these precious lives. There are more slaves today than in Wilberforces time....

Here in Bath, we are part of the situation and are part of the solution.  There are several charities in the UK fighting for awareness and there are several charities raising money to help the fight against slavery.

Here in Bath, there is a new charity which is one of very few in the world who are being asked to work on the aftercare for trafficked people.

There are national plans for the Bath area and we'd love to tell you more...

If you, or a representative from your church would like to know how you can be involved we would love to share more.

Its exciting days and we’d love to work together to see freedom, restoration and healing come to children from all over the world....

We have been in government committees and national meetings where I have been able to say that we, as churches are the answer to the problem. As we work together, volunteering to care and love those who have been rejected and traumatised we can turn things around and see a national change and impact the most needy nations...

Thursday 7th July 2011 8pm at Trauma Recovery Centre, Freedom House, Lower Bristol Road, Bath BA2 1EP.

We would love to present to you our project so you can see if anyone from your church would like to be involved. RSVP
