How was the event on the night?
The event was great!! all the performers turned up, we had a few others who came who said they enjoyed it and we managed to raise £87.37, which I think is quite an achievement.
Who performed?
We had a number of performers, most of whom performed songs they had written themselves. Faith Reed performed the first piece she ever wrote when she was around 15, Sara Vian performed a piece she'd composed the day before and Kara Anne Marie Robinson performed a piece she'd written that week.
What was your favourite thing about the evening?
I loved the atmosphere the whole evening generated, everyone said they'd had a good time and that I'd done well for my first event.
Who supported you and came along?
Quite a few people from church came along, as well as some of my friends, plus Paul Solly, the director of Genesis.
Was it lots of fun?
It was!! I'm happy with the way the evening went and grateful to everyone for the support they provided, as well as God being behind the event.
What would you do differently?
I would make the event an open door policy rather than charging, plus I'd have less food. Above all I would pray a lot more and try not to get so worried!!
Are you planning to do another event like this?
I am planning on doing another event in about 6 months or so in time for Christmas, but it will hopefully be at the Huntsman next time and will be called 'Deck the Halls'.
