Volunteers Needed For Love Weston and Love Newbridge Community Cafes!
Are you a chur
ch member based in Newbridge or Weston, with a desire to see the local community welcomed to a cosy community cafe - with delicious homebaking and friendly faces to meet!? Genesis Trust and More To Life are launching Love Weston and Love Newbridge community cafes and appealing for volunteer cooks, Knitters, driers, inviters and drivers to make these exciting community developments happen!

Organiser David Pendle, Executive Secretary of Bath Churches Together, said: "We want to create friendly, comfortable environments where people in Newbridge and Weston can meet each other, have a chat, enjoy seeing a friendly face and perhaps join in a Knit and Natter group.
"It's all about loving the communities of Newbridge and Weston, these wonderful cafes will enable people who might not see others during the day, to conne
ct with others.
"We're appealing for drivers as well as home-bakers
so that the elderly or those without transport will not be excluded. It really is all about loving the local communities.
"If you are interested in making these cafe's happen, please do come to the volunteer meetings we've arranged, and find out more."
You don't need to worship specifically in Weston or Newbridge to get involved. The volunteer meetings are taking place this Friday (30th) September at 10.30am at Weston Free Church and Tuesday 
11th October at 7.30pm at Weston Methodist Church.
Shirley Ward of the Genesis Advisory Board said the following roles need filling; inviters (to invite local community members), a volunteer co-ordinator to manage cafe rotas, drivers, friendly faces (to sit and chat), Knit and Natterers! as well as a team leader, cafe assis
tants and home cooks for the catering team.
