Your book The King's Gold - is a real best seller with lots of acclaim with Christians! Why do you think it resounds so well with Christians?
I don’t think it is a best seller, but I hope that it challenges Christians to go for what is lasting rather than temporary in their lives.
What is the main core message you got across in that book?
The message is that if we want to become like Jesus, God’s methods are not always the ones we expect…He uses all sorts of tough things like suffering and waiting, as well as the joyful things like healing to transform us into world changers.
Was it your first book?
No, I wrote a book many years ago on what God was doing in Europe, and more recently a manual to accompany our discipleship course the TIDE course.
How would you describe it?
Its usually is found in the 'Christian Life' section of bookshops.
How did you feel as you wrote that book? Did it inspire you as you went?
I felt that God was calling me to write something about true gold rather than temporary fixes. The book rather wrote itself!
What do you hope people get from reading it?
I hope God will challenge them as He has challenged me to want to be like Jesus and to change the world!
What are your hopes for the future - what would you like to write
next?
I will only write if I feel God is challenging me to do so on a particular issue.
As a reader what do you find yourself reading?
I am a very eclectic reader, I read a wide range of books.
What are your hopes and dreams for your future?
The answer to that is the same as the answer to No.7 – I want to be like Jesus and change the world!
