Christian Aid Worker Back From Sierra Leone Volunteers To Talk To Your Church Group!..

Fresh from a volunteer internship with Christian Aid, Mike Secker is available for the next eight months to talk to youth, student and church groups in Bath, Bristol, Somerset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.

"My name is Mike Secker and I am doing a volunteer internship with Christian Aid in the West region.
"My aim is to engage with young people by encouraging and enabling them to learn about and take action on world development issues such as climate change, HIV 
and tackling corruption.
"In addition to this I also aim to make clear links between faith and issues of justice and solidarity.
"For the next eight months I will be available to youth, student and church groups in Bristol, Somerset, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire (primarily 16-25 years). Within this role I shall be able to take group sessions, lead workshops, run games, film nights, presentations or help in any other way appropriate to the group and your own ideas or expectations.
"In addition I would also be able to equip and resource youth workers so that they are able to lead sessions about Christian Aid and about how Christian Faith can respond to global issues.
"In October travelled to Sierra Leone with other young volunteers to meet Christian Aid partner organisations and will happily share my experiences from the trip and stories from those benefiting from the work Christian Aids partners do with youth groups.
