HOTS BATH LATEST STATEMENT:
Over the last week “Hots Bath” has been thrust into the media spotlight after the
ASA ruling that we could not say on our website that we believe that God can heal.
The Bible, at the heart of the Christian faith, states not only that God can heal, but goes even further than we have in declaring that God does heal, listing many examples of this.
As Christians we believe what is written in the Bible, and we have our own experiences of God’s goodness to us and others, no matter whether they believe or not - through healing of all kinds: emotional, spiritual and physically.
We are grateful for the ongoing encouragement and support that we have received from many Christians and from those who are not Christians.
Public and media interest in the case
We have been surprised at the publicity that has been generated by this and have so far been asked for comments and been able to give our views (outlets above).
There has also been ample blogging going on. Here is a selection below:-

Our thoughts
This has been a great opportunity for us to share our beliefs about the goodness and love of God for those He created. In all of this we have tried to keep positive, focus on the issue at hand and give a clear message that God is good.
We would aim to make a positive contribution to anyone who comes to talk to us on the streets, regardless of people's religious convictions, and are not seeking to be confrontational or argue with people about their beliefs.
Nobody is being "sold a healing product", the members of our team are compassionate people who are fully trained to avoid causing offence or misleading anyone about what we do - prayer is simply and publicly available to those who are interested.
Our appeal to the ASA
We have submitted our official appeal against the ASA decision and are waiting to hear whether it will be reviewed, which may take a little while.
What can you do?
Many people have asked us what they can do to help, ( and we are slowly working our way through the backlog of emails).
You could join us in praying for a Godly outcome to the case, as we are hopeful that the ASA will see the unreasonableness of saying that we cannot make any statement on our website about our belief that God can heal physically.
You can have a look at some of the links above, to get an idea of the issues that are being raised by the case. If you feel inclined to write to your MP or the ASA, as some people have suggested, it may be best to wait until we hear the result of the ASA appeal which we hope will be favourable.
