Christian Life Coach Peter Foster Loves Getting You To Succeed

peter_twoFrustrated ambitions, talents and dreams can affect people - whether you are Christian or not.  Indeed Christian life coach Peter Foster was spurred on by his own feelings of frustration which led him to read 'Jesus - Life Coach' by Laurie Beth Jones to set about coaching others to reach their potential.  Using Biblical principles of mind-renewal, encouragement, accountability and the power of the Cross to effect change, Peter tells us about his pleasure in seeing people succeed.  Free course on offer!

Born in Birmingham and having lived in Devon for 11 years before moving to Bath, Peter set up a marketing business which he sold before becoming a Christian life coach...  Married to Rachel, with two children and a member of Bath City Church since 1994, Peter describes being a Christian life coach as 'very much the outworking of grace, by faith to the accomplishment of goals.peter_foster_one

"As a Christian, I utilise ethical life coaching techniques (to mainly Christians) so as to enhance aspects of their lives in producing positive change...Unlike secular coaching I do not use psychology, hypnosis, EFT etc; but depend entirely upon Biblical principles of mind-renewal, encouragement, accountability and the power of the Cross to effect change. In this respect it is very much the outworking of grace, by faith, to the accomplishment of goals." he says.

"I have often felt unfulfilled in my gifts and talents and since becoming a Christian have been frustrated by seeing much latent talent laying dormant. By chance I came upon a book entitled 'Jesus - Life Coach' by Laurie Beth Jones. I was excited to read that traditional coaching skills, when utilised in conjunction with the Holy Spirit, is a powerful and effective means of seeing good fruit produced in Believers lives. I had a series of coaching sessions myself, out of which came a desire to qualify as a Life Coach."
So what can a client seeing Peter for the first time expect?
"Firstly, I assure the client that our conversations are entirely confidential and that I conform to ethical coaching practices. I explain the coaching process and ask that the client commits to the entire process and undertakes any actions to achieving defined goals.
"The coaching process can include any aspect of the persons life: personal, relationships, career, talents and ministry.

"We discuss areas of life where they feel unfulfilled, frustrated - even stuck! Gradually, through patient questioning and active listening, a clear picture emerges of where the client wants to go; and an action plan is developed to accomplish a goal, or goals." he explains.

Peter's enthusiasm at seeing people succeed when he is working with them, is clear to see when you talk to him.

"The heart of Christian Coaching is to help empower folk resolve current issues so as to achieve true Biblical prosperity and good success...It is in seeing this accomplished in the life of my clients that gives me a real buzz!

"As one client remarked  '...no one so quickly helped put their finger on what it is I truly love doing.'"

Peter hopes 'to see life coaching established as a viable and necessary ministry in churches as a means of empowering folk to accomplish goals.'

A beneficiary of physical healing thanks to Christian ministry himself; specifically 'through the laying on of hands', Peter also believes in prayer and inner healing.

"I have since benefitted enormously in many areas through prayer, inner healing and counselling. I do think it's important to have been, or be working on deep heart issues before or during the coaching process for it to be truly effective. Often Life Coaching uncovers inner issues, in which case, I would refer the client to seek counselling and / or ministry. The Father is looking for His children to be truly free: Life Coaching is one 'tool' He uses."

Peter wants to extend a free course of coaching sessions to one member of a local Bath church.

"As a member of the Biblical Coaching Alliance I am offering a Free course of coaching sessions to one member of a local church. Please write in your contact details on my website.

"Look for the 'Enquiry Form'. Also include a compelling reason for you being coached - free of charge. It could be related to either Business, Creativity, Ministry, Relationships or Career. Coaching takes place at a time to suit you, either by phone, Skype or in person.

"My wife will choose a name out of a hat!"
