As The Love Bath Family Fun Day Festival Is Four Days Away.. The Love Bath City Clear Up Is Scheduled 24 Hours Beforehand!
Four standard size skips are to be placed in local communities in Bath by organisers of the Love Bath family fun day festival, on Saturday 23 June, which is the day before the festival. The skips will be placed in Willows Green in Cotswold Road; Rudmore Park in Newbridge; Linley Close in Twerton and Coxley Drive in Larkhall. They will be located at convenient points so that local residents can dispose of their rubbish . This is a chance to get rid of the garden rubbish and clutter…. Sorry – not large electrical items such as fridges.

Manned by volunteers from churches across the city, the skips are being installed for the day to serve people in the city and also encourage people to attend the Love Bath festival the next day in front of the Royal Crescent.
“It will be a fun day, with our volunteers assisting people if they need some help, offering refreshments to those embroilled in the thirsty work of dejunking and handing out leaflets about Love Bath.
“We will be having fun and looking forward to meeting people, having a chat and helping to do something positive for those communities. The idea of Love Bath (lovebath.org) and the family fun festival is really about us expressing the love of God to the city and the volunteer manned skips provide a really practical way for Christians in the city to do that.” David explained.
The Love Bath Community Festival on Sunday 24 June begins with a Celebration Service open to all at the bandstand in Victoria Park at 11.30am. Then at 12.45pm there will be a chance for Bath's schoolchildren to show off their creative talents – via the Schools Torch Parade organised by Bath school sports' co-ordinator, Brendan Rouse, who teaches at St John's Catholic Primary, Swainswick Primary and co-ordinates sports at St Mark's C of E Schools.
The Love Bath Community Festival will take place on Sunday 24 June from 12.30 to 4pm, in front of the Royal Crescent – the festival will include fun and games for all, a packed programme of activities and events to suit all ages, free food and drink and an opportunity to bring a picnic.
