With the special 'Go For it - Olympic Fun!" theme for the Holiday Club running from 23 to 27 July, 10am to 12pm, Sharon Keevill explains that anyone is welcome to join in.
"Anyone can join in, but due to the popularity of the club in the last few years we've had to introduce a booking system to limit numbers. Anyone interested in coming needs to please call or text me on 07733 995284, to see if there are still spaces.
"There will be games, crafts, songs, drama, bible stories.. The children all seem to enjoy coming along - and often invite their friends to join."
Started more than a decade ago by a former church children's worker, the holiday club is run by volunteers from Nexus and aimed at primary school aged children (5 to 11 years).
"Although its aimed primarily at local children we get children from all over Bath coming. It is priced deliberately low at £1 per child per day, to help cover our costs."
Nexus also run one day clubs during half-term, the Easter holidays and organise a Christmas party for children who have participated during the year.
Sharon would like to appeal for volunteers and empty Pringles tins to help with the craft activities this year.
"We need large Pringels tins! We have a good team of volunteers at Nexus but it would be great if anyone, particularly any young people, would like to join us. If you are interested in volunteering please contact our minister, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , or telephone: 01225 461509. Volunteers are always CRB checked.
"The themes at the club are always based on Bible stories, which present in a fun, entertaining way and this year's theme is based on the story of David. We also have action songs with a Christian message, which the children enjoy joining in with.
"Many of the children have 'graduated' from the Nexus Toddlers Group, one of our other long-running outreach projects - so it's great to be able to maintain a link with those families."
