Southdown Methodist Church Centre Is Fully Open For Business!.. Jeff Parsons Tells Us About Its Exciting Role In The Community
Southdown and Whiteway Community Partnership's Jeff Parsons 
has been involved with changing the face of the Methodist Church Centre from the start. Now the building is finished and is a hive of community activity!

Jeff writes:
The new building makes such a difference. It's light and airy, the colours throughout bring a freshness and warmth. It is no longer looking down at heel and is fit for purpose (many in fact).
The Community has our new building. We are attracting a lot more lettings from organisations and individuals. Very encouraging.
Our Partnership activities are going well. The Nearly New Shop, now 'New2You' is attracting new customers. It is sited near the front door and much more accessible.. We welcome donations of good quality clothes, small household items, Nursery items and books/toys.
Please note furniture and large items cannot be accepted due to lack of storage. Donations can be received Tuesdays 1.30pm to 3.30pm and on a Wednesday and Thursday from 10am to 12 noon. Alternatively please ring Jane Parsons on 01761 412304.
Community Lunch is on Thursdays at 12 noon and the Toddler Group meets on Wednesday mornings from 10 - 11.30am.
The Toddler Group numbers have picked up again with a group of younng families, babies and toddlers joining us.
Yes, we have had more people through the door since the re-opening. We have a good suite of premises which will fit most requirements.
Next up is a Holiday at Home linked to Harvest, with Crafts, singing entertainment, lunch and afternoon tea on Thursday 20th September. Please ring Jane on 01761 412304 for more details.
Look out for our Christmas Bazaar on 1 December from 2.30pm and a
Community Carol Service with Nativity from 3.30pm. followed by Hot Mince Pies!
