Bath Christian Union's mission week is including a series of meetings with guest speaker, Michael Ramsden, Regional Director of RZIM and joint director of the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics and lecturer in the same at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford. And they want you and all church members across Bath to 'phone a friend' and invite them along.... From Wednesday 21 to Friday 23 November the meetings will be on the theme of 'God of Love'.

The meetings will have the theme of 'God of Love' and include talks on 'God of Judgement?', 'World of Suffering?' and 'Church of Arrogance?'. A spokesperson said "Thevevent is part of the Christian Union's Mission Week but the invitation to attend is open to all - however the request to church members across Bath is to ‘come and bring a non-Christian friend to hear the gospel."
The talks will cover the following:
God of Love: God of Judgement? Do Christians worship a schizophrenic God? Do Christians believe in an inconsistent God when they claim that a loving God will also judge the world? If God is so loving, why not just forgive everyone?
God of Love: World of Suffering? If a loving God created this world, why is it that we see so much pain and suffering? Is it not more plausible to say that either there is no God, or if he is there, that he is powerless in the face of suffering?
God of Love: Church of Arrogance? Is the Christian faith inherently
arrogant? How can Christians be so sure of the truth? And what right do they have to impose that view on others?
