Why are you at St John's holding this event?
This lively, enjoyable, interactive event is an opportunity for Chrsitans in
Keynsham and beyond to gain a a BIG PICTURE overview of the whole of the
Old testament.
2. What do you hope people will get out of it?
Many people, even those who have been Christians for years, can feel
uncertain about the characters, events and places of the Old Testament and
struggle to see how it all fits together.
Through this interactive but relaxed presentation the instructor will Œwalk
you through¹ the whole Old Testament, using tools to help you to learn the
complete story, grasp the time line of the events and see how the main
characters and books of the Bible are placed within it.
Attendees will leave with:
a Big Picture overview of the whole of the Old testament
An understanding of the context into which these events fit into world
history
€ A greater understanding of the geography and travels that take place
And € A rekindled desire to read the Bible and pray every day
3. Why is it important to people to have a good/better/comprehensive
understanding of the Old Testament?
Most Christians would agree that the Bible is foundational to our faith and
key to our spiritual journey with God. We know its important, we know God
can speak powerfully to us through it, but even those who have being in
Christian circles for many years can find it hard at times to get to grips
with, to understand the context, so see how the different stories and other
bits fit together & can feel a bit foggy about where on earth the different
places are. So much so that we can get discouraged & even lose heart
. This day will provide the background to deepen understanding, help put
passages in context mad equip individuals go even deeper into Gods word &
apply it to their lives
4. Why do you believe in the Walk Thru organisation? Why have you
chosen to access them/their resources?
Having benefited so much my self from both a Walk thru the Old Testament day
and a Walk Thru the New Testament day myself I wanted to give , elsewhere,
in the past, and gained a huge amount from both, I was keen to give others
an opportunity to have the benefit of such an enjoyable informative and
inspiring event
5. Can anyone attend this event? Non-Christian, new Christian, or
mature Christian?
This event is open to all who are interested, and would benefit both new and
mature Christians
6. Do you regularly have events at St Johns?
Yes
7. What sorts of events?
Yes. Both musical events and services, in a variety of worship styles

to Keynsham's community?
Yes we are central to Keynsham community and undertake evangelism
