MenUnited - Men's Outreach and Networking Meeting
Bath MenUnited has nothing to do with playing football! Despite its name..But is a Bath organisation which arranges a monthly meeting for men to get together, eat breakfast, make friends and encounter God. With a Holy Spirit centred dynamic more and more men are hearing testimonies from prolific men, says organiser Don Latham.
"Men need a place where they can relax, be inspired, have joy and hear how well-known personalities and ordinary men have had their lives transformed through an encounter with Jesus Christ." says Don Latham one of Bath MenUnited's organisers.
Formed in Bath to reach men for Christ through personal testimony and the sharing of Godly wisdom for life, Bath MenUnited meets for breakfast on the first saturday of the month from 7.30-9.00am at the Ha Ha Bar and Grill in Walcot Street.
Largely sponsored by local Christian businessmen, the organisation is formed by men for men and is a cross-church event which is open to guests. Mentoring and encouragement are on the agenda each month as well as an unashamedly charismatic flavour.
"We believe that all men can experience the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit in their lives today. Our aim is to equip men for life." says Don.
A place for the transformation of individual lives and the life of the city through its institutions, political, commercial and civic leadership, MenUnited's monthly breakfast has been built by working in partnership with other similar organisations.
No prior booking is required – Dons says "Just turn up. There is no charge (but there is a voluntary donations box) as the event is largely sponsored by local Christian businessmen."
